Gold is a Bass Music producer and DJ from Birmingham, UK.

He has been active on the DJ circuit in and around the Midlands since the late 90s where he started out playing Hip Hop, Reggae, Break Beat and later UK Garage, DnB and Jungle.

His sets boast an eclectic mix of bass driven music which has strongly influenced his musical tastes, taking the listener on a journey through his always evolving production techniques while keeping the vibes strictly dance floor!

Gold got into production in 2005 when he met up with local DJ, Aries. The two instantly hit it off in the studio and there first track ‘Sleng Ting Mash Up’ was picked up by The Upfull Rockers and instantly signed to their Dub Dimensions imprint. And so ‘Lionfire’ was born.

In 2008 they welcomed producer and old friend Jinx to the crew before being signed to Dread Recordings in 2010.

Over the years Gold has held residency at some of the UK’s biggest events and underground radio stations including Raveology, The DnB Awards, Passion FM, Hysteria, Rhubarb Radio, Break Thru & his own brand Disk-connected.

The past 12 months have seen Gold collaborating with a heap of producers and vocalists including David Boomah, Serocee, Bladerunner, Yoof, Stanza, Dawn Raid, Kid British, The Friendly Fire Band, Eva Lazarus, Pablo Rider, Peter Spence, Bongo Chilli, Ras Tweed, Lion Art, Murray Man, Juggla & Collie Weed as well as spending five weeks on the road touring the UK, Holland & Ireland with Reggae veterans UB40.

But things are just getting started for this talented DJ as this year has seen him signed to Jay Cunning’s imprint Sub Slayers where he has already made a big impact with the labels followers and reviewers, which includes receiving an impressive 9 out of 10 from DJ magazines Carl Loben for his debut release.

The Future is looking strong for Gold, with forthcoming tracks set to be released on Dread, Co-lab, Pure Vibez, Liondub and more to drop on Sub Slayers; he is defiantly one to keep your eye on.
